The Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions is set to collaborate with a prominent Inuit climate advocate to enhance Indigenous participation in climate change research, education, and policy development. The esteemed Inuit leader and Nobel Peace Prize nominee, Siila (Sheila) Watt-Cloutier, has been appointed as the first Indigenous Climate Fellow at the institute.

Watt-Cloutier has dedicated her life to championing Inuit rights and has emerged as a pivotal figure in the climate movement. Her influential work has been instrumental in linking human rights with climate change, thereby shifting the narrative in public and policy domains and paving the way for new academic pursuits and activism.
