CleanBC Communities Fund hosting information webinars and accepting applications

As part of a commitment to a cleaner B.C., the governments of Canada and British Columbia have announced a combined investment of $134 million to the CleanBC Communities Fund (CCF).
First launched in 2019, the CCF funds infrastructure projects that focus on management of renewable energy, improved access to clean-energy transportation (for example, electric vehicles), improved energy efficiency in buildings and the generation of clean energy. Since its inception, this program has provided up to $109 million in support of clean community projects across B.C.
Previously funded projects include:
- waste heat recovery systems for Vancouver’s False Creek neighbourhood and Richmond’s Oval Village community
- clean hydropower to reduce Nuxalk Nation’s reliance on diesel
- electric vehicle charging network expansions across the province and
- energy-efficient building upgrades for aquatic centres in Kamloops and Prince George.
- The CCF is currently accepting applications for the third intake. Deadline to apply is May 25, 2022.
