The District of Squamish, City of Richmond and City of Port Coquitlam all recently passed new bylaws requiring some percentage of new parking spaces in residential buildings to have EV charging.
These amendments come on the heels of the announcement by the Provincial government in 2016 that gave municipalities more flexibility in passing EV charging bylaws.
