1. The Municipal Energy Roadmap: A new tool to support your energy goals
Monday, June 22, 1:30 pm ET

Get the first look at our soon-to-be-released decision-support tool – the Municipal Energy Roadmap. You’ll learn how it can help you identify high-impact opportunities, key approaches and effective technologies to reduce GHG emissions in your municipal and community buildings. We’ll discuss successful examples of policies and programs Canadian municipalities are using to become less carbon-intensive and more energy efficient. No matter your community’s size or starting point, this conversation will be relevant.

If you’re a municipal, non-profit or co-operative housing provider, our new $300 million Sustainable Affordable Housing (SAH) initiative is for you. Whether you want to complete an energy efficient retrofit or engage in a new capital project, SAH funding can help you increase the quality, affordability and energy efficiency of your buildings. Tune in and learn about the various forms of grant, loan and capacity building support we offer to help you retrofit existing units or build new ones. We’ll also share and discuss the many ways we can help during any stage of your project.

3. Water: Invest in your community’s most important resource
Thursday, June 25, 1:30 pm ET

From water conservation, to storm water quality, to septic wastewater systems, this webinar will outline the different ways GMF funding can improve and protect your community’s water systems. You’ll learn about the application process, the types of projects that are eligible, and examples of how municipalities have used GMF funding to manage their local bodies of water. In the wake of COVID-19, Canada will need an economic recovery plan that includes sustainable, shovel-ready projects. Now is the time to plan, assess the feasibility or evaluate a small-scale version of your initiative. We’re here to help.

You’ll learn about how you can successfully reduce GHG emissions, improve air quality and restore sites to productive use. We’ll discuss eligibility, the application process and the different types of funding we provide. In the wake of COVID-19, Canada will need an economic recovery plan that includes sustainable, shovel-ready projects. 5. How to create an efficiency financing program for your community
Monday, June 29, 1:30 pm ET

Want to help your residents improve the energy performance of their homes? GMF’s new Community Efficiency Financing (CEF) initiative is a $300 million “program of programs” that will help you do just that. It supports municipalities and their partners to create or scale up innovative financing programs that enable higher energy performance and lower GHG emissions in low-rise residential homes. In this webinar we’ll walk you through what types of studies and programs can be funded, which financing models are eligible, and how to judge whether you’re ready to apply. You’ll also get an introduction to the capacity-building resources we have available for CEF.
